My acne problems isn't that bad. It normally shows up when it's that time of the month (sometimes), super stressed, or when the product that I'm trying doesn't suit me.
I normally would find myself hovering over this item when I'm in the store. I just can't seem to find myself why I should get it. But one day, I just did. I've been wondering for the longest time if this is effective.
What really pushed me into buying this product is that I had Gift Certificates from The Body Shop and it was about to expire. The Body Shop in my country is quite generous in discounts and the like. Perhaps because it's overpriced?
The Body Shop claims that Tea Tree Oil is:
A medicine cabinet must. A pre-blended oil which can be used in many different ways to help soothe blemished skin. Dab directly onto skin at first sign of a blemish.
One bottle of Tea Tree Oil costed me P495 (roughly $11.71). It contains around 10ml of the oil.
Tea Tree Oil comes in a small clear bottle. The cap is a little hard to remove, but at least you know that this won't spill no matter what position you store it. Removing the cap, you'd notice that there is a nozzle that leads to a straw-like passage on the other side. This helps in preventing you from pouring too much of the oil. It's very innovative and can be a little annoying at times.
What you can do with this is put a cotton swab or pad at the open end, and pour some oil on it. Then you pat it on the problematic area.
The oil itself is a clear fluid. It's kind of cold onto the skin, and doesn't give this oily feel. It didn't dry me out on application, nor it gave me breakouts (that would be weird if it did!). One thing I strongly dislike about this product is the smell. I couldn't stand the smell - it's strong with a hint of alcohol. I can't really put my finger on what it really smells like since I'm distracted on how horrible the smell is. Sensitive noses, beware! The smell lasts quite long too. It did irritate my nose due to the odor.
Did it solve my skin woes? I really can't tell. When I used this, my problematic area was around my nose. I wanted it off my face the moment I swiped it on.
Will I buy this again? This bottle with its design will definitely last you for sometime. But given that the smell is strong and pungent, I will not buy this again. Nor use it for that matter. I only lasted 1-2weeks with this. And I'd probably give it away to my relatives. Each time I apply it on my face, I'd keep on touching my nose and the affected area. Kind of defeats the purpose of cleansing it. Sigh! I hope I find an acne preventing product less the awful smell.

ReplyDeleteFor the soon-to-be pimple (little bumps), it stopped its growth. For the already there pimple, didn't do much.
