Haru's Random Thoughts: Missed Posting!

Hey Everyone!

It's been crazily busy with the sudden turn of events. So busy that I cannot even construct a decent review. And I am very well aware of my backlogs. Which is tons! 

Work had been really crazy since the start of this year, and for the past month, I've been working on 10-12 hours a day. Boo, no overtime pay. 

Then again, I'm also preoccupied with tons of non-work related stuff, which I can easily summarize in the following photos (all thanks to my iPhone. I don't have to bring that heavy camera around):

Just because I want to share to you the beautiful white sand beach of Boracay. This is were I went to with my family last Dec. 7-10. 

I finally got my white dress and hat on the beach during a sunset photo!

Lately, aside from being busy with work and all, I haven't got the mood to write anything. I'm just forcing myself to do so.

Haru's Thoughts: Nature Republic in Megamall is now open!

You've read it right. After months of being there, it just opened one day. December 2, to be exact. 


Sadly, I wasn't there at that one day. I was up north with the in-laws. And I haven't passed by there yet.

Perhaps later? I sure hope so!


For those who aren't familiar with Nature Republic, it's a low-end Korean brand. It follows the same lines of Skinfood, Etude House, Tony Moly, The Face Shop, Beauty Credit and Missha. They somehow remind me of The Face Shop. Before I'd get the 2 confused. I'm not familiar with their best sellers just yet. But I will soon be. <3


Anyway, hope this store won't be overpriced like Skinfood, The Face Shop and Missha. >.<

On other items, I'm prepping up for my long weekend beach vacation. So I'm busy (as usual) in finishing some of my work since I'd be gone for 2 days. Hehehhe.



Oh yeah, I'm also waiting for my order of Benefit's Fast Train to Fabulous, and the release of iPhone 5 in my country. FINALLY!!!!!!

Meet Mr. & Mrs. Cheng

Hey there! For regular readers of this blog you might be surprised to see me posting here (who the heck is this?!?!)- so let me take this opportunity to introducce myself- I am Ica Cheng :) and I am 1/4 of our High School quartet whom I now share this blog with. 

Like Haru, I love make up and other kikay stuff and like the rest of the group-I'm also into anime, music, movies, books and the like. 

My husband and I share the same passion for photography (he takes the pictures and I work in the background as a Personal Assistant, Creative Director, Manager- or whatever is needed) and we've been spending a greater part of this year trying to get our own Photography company started. We mostly blog about our photography exploits but when time permits I also blog about product reviews and well...all things random and quirky. :)

Haru's Thoughts: Been gone for a few days. Missed me?

My last post was 5 days ago?!?! Woah. Talk about irregular posting. I really apologize for that.

I am supposed to do a review today, but work caught up with me again. a long weekend (Friday's a national holiday) + 2 days of teambuilding = loads of backlogs at work for me to do (1 super major project, 3 support projects). And we have this Thursday and Friday off. It's a declared non-working holiday...

And should I be happy with all these no work days?

Haru's Thoughts: Sale Alert for Citibank Card Holders!

Hi guys. I know I haven't been posted regularly for a few weeks now. I'm pretty much busy with tons of stuff at work. It's almost implementation soon, so testing is such a bother.

Anyway, I'd like to update you with a sale for Citibank Card Holders! It's happening today until this Sunday (11am-9pm) at the new Mega Tent location along Libis (right past the Red Ribbon by the flyover).

Haru's Random Thought: No, I am not posting just because I am lazy

I know I've been inconsistent with my posts lately since I'm right smack in the middle of the project. Crunched timelines, testing and documentation. And surrounded by horrible, non-functioning people who sucks out the energy and life force from you. 

I haven't got any decent sleep since Sunday, for pete's sake. No tantamount of concealer, foundation and primer can hide my dark circles on my skin. >.< And I'd rather go bare faced than wear tons of make-up on while burning the midnight oil. I'm not in some sort of social gathering, anyway. 

Big thanks to my brother for driving me to work (and not chatting with me) so I can take a nap for an hour or so.

I might not be able to post a review today. Not because I'm lazy, mind you.

I'm just really, really exhausted and sleepy. I can't even finish a good paragraph for review without dozing off.

Links within a post after migration problem

Whoops! I just realized that the links found in my post from Sept. 14 down to the first post ever, would be routed back to my original, Wordpress blog. Even the pictures here uses the storage of the original blog.

Don't fret, people, it's still me. Even if I don't have any intentions of fixing all the links of the old posts, I will do my best to align the new ones.

As for the photos, well, I'll leave it using the Wordpress storage, and it will still carry the watermarks from my original blog.

Just beacuse Nuffnang does not support my my Wordpress Website, I decided to migrate my posts to Blogspot.

3-day Vacation from Blogging

I've been out for3 days (Tuesday-Thursday), due to some unfortunate circumstances. Weather's really horrible in my country, Philippines. It's been raining since Monday till Thursday early morning. For my family and I, we had no electricity for 2 days (Wednesday till Thursday). I'm just glad the flood didn't climb up our house. Others weren't so lucky.

Please pray for my fellow countrymen who are deeply affected by the terrible weather. Donations are very much welcome.
